Kaohsiung International Airport is a member of the Airports Council International (ACI) and has been actively engaged in energy conservation and carbon reduction efforts for many years. The airport participates in the ACI Airport Carbon Accreditation program, and in 2016, it became the first airport in Taiwan to achieve Level 3 Optimization Carbon Management certification.
